Tip of the week
We all have to start somewhere. Don’t panic when you begin writing your first resume, even if you feel you have minimal or no work experience. While you might not have been formally employed before, that doesn’t mean you don’t have any useful skills. For your first resume, take a look at your experiences so far and focus on things you’ve learned that are useful for the position you’re applying for. Don’t underestimate your school extracurricular activities, certificates you have earned, or volunteer experiences—they all taught you something that can be used in a formal career environment.
