Strengthen your body by participating in PH GALLERY + STUDIO’s YOGA + ART program (455 Broadway, Troy, NY 12180)! YOGA + ART classes will be held at the Studio on Mondays through August 14, and you can reserve your space here.
Take in an award-winning, multidisciplinary art work as it travels overseas this summer. Performance artist and dancer Shamel Pitts continues to tour Black Velvet, with performances on July 16 and 18 at the Impulztanz Festival in Vienna, Austria. The international performance art tour, which sketches a concept of identity that transcends the boundaries of race, gender, and sexual orientation, will travel to Singapore and Berlin in August and September, respectively. Experience a community-driven celebration in Long Island City, Queens. For the second year running, INSITU will bring a series of talented performers together as part of its 2018 INSITU Site-Specific Dance Festival this August. Seventy-five minute dance sequences will take place across several parks along the Queens waterfront from August 4-5, 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
