Applications for the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship are now open, so mark your calendars and lunch hour for Tuesday, November 14 from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM for a special Q&A on NYFA’s Facebook Page.
Gabriella Calandro, Program Officer, Fellowships/Curatorial, will give a short presentation about the application process and will answer your questions in real time through Facebook Live.
The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is offered in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year cycle period. The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant; it is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice, regardless of the career stage of their artistic development.
The 2018 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship categories are:
- Fiction
- Folk/Traditional Arts
- Interdisciplinary Work
- Painting
- Video/Film

NYFA is pleased to announce that the name of this award has changed to NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship. NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships are administered with leadership support from New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
