Artist News | Immigrant Artists Collective at “Boogie on the Boulevard”
Join six former participants of NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program: Social Practice on September 10
Immigrant Artists is a collective of six immigrant artists, working in different disciplines in New York City. The project is a response to the current political climate and the increase in negative attitudes towards immigrants.
The collective’s goal is to help to build bridges between the local community and immigrants. Their project is a space where strangers from different backgrounds can meet, understand, and create art together. Through interactive arts, participants will experience face-to-face personal contact in an afternoon of workshops where they will be able to share, understand, talk to others, and express their thoughts.
