Register Now | Artist as Entrepreneur Full Day Boot Camp
Program to be offered on Monday, August 21 at NYFA offices in Brooklyn.
New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is pleased to offer an opportunity for artists to participate in our Artist as Entrepreneur boot camp program, established in 2010 and open to artists in all disciplines. The one-day program will be offered on August 21, 2017 and will take place at NYFA’s offices in Brooklyn.
The Artist As Entrepreneur boot camp offers the fundamental principles of sustainability—and ultimately profitability—in the arts. This includes topics such as strategic planning, finance, and marketing, with additional material drawn from NYFA’s popular textbook, The Profitable Artist (Allworth Press, 2011), which is included in the registration fee. The boot camp’s structure is a blend of formal lectures and breakout groups. Participants work through a flexible and dynamic “action plan” and a business model canvas, which provide a blueprint for you practice or specific projects.
Connect with other artists as you build the business skills essential to supporting your creative career. Each participant will receive specific feedback from experts in the field as well as their peers in the program.

Artist as Entrepreneur Boot Camp Testimonial
I found the NYFA Bootcamp comprehensive and engaging. I participated in a full day program affiliated with the College Art Association annual conference in New York. I felt many of my legal and financial questions were answered clearly and with helpful references to a variety of arts organizations that serve studio artists. I have been referring artist friends to NYFA website resources since the program with regularity, and have been organizing my studio more carefully given the extensive advice and discussions that transpired. Thank you NYFA for your tireless work on behalf of artists.
