NYFA Announces Participants in the Artist as Entrepreneur Boot Camp for Artists of Color
Through the support of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, NYFA is pleased to announce the participation of 44 artists of all disciplines for the upcoming Artists as Entrepreneur Boot Camp for Artists of Color.
Customized to fit the needs of participants and partners, this boot camp will delve into the fundamental principles of sustainability in the arts, providing a space for artists of color to work through the themes of finance, law, marketing, fundraising, and community sustainability.
NYFA has offered the Artists as Entrepreneur Boot Camp to artists and arts administrators for the past seven years. This is the first time it is for artists of color specifically and is coordinated in collaboration with artist and NYFA board member Elia Alba and her project, The Supper Club. Through this program, NYFA makes an investment in the cultural infrastructure that ultimately benefits the entire field by building stronger connections, shared knowledge and experiences between artists.
There was an overwhelming and impressive response in applications and after careful review, NYFA is pleased to announce the following participants of the Spring and Summer 2017 sessions:
