“You Are a Vital Resource for the Arts Community”*
The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has been supporting artists since 1971.
Our mission is to empower emerging artists and arts organizations across all disciplines at critical stages in their creative lives and professional / organizational development. In 2009, we extended our programs and services throughout the United States and the international community.
“I am deeply grateful to NYFA for its past support and belief in me. That vote of confidence – and infusion of much-needed funds – helped me soldier on and eventually reach the truly wonderful career moment I find myself in right now. Kudos and thanks!”
Carl Capotorto (Fellow in Playwriting/Screenwriting ‘88)
On April 12, 2016 we’re hosting our annual benefit to celebrate four extraordinary NYFA affiliated artists’ induction into the Hall of Fame: James Casebere (Fellow in Sculpture ’89, Photography ’85, ’94), Anna Deavere Smith (Fiscally Sponsored Artist ’16), Faith Ringgold (Fellow in Painting ’88), and Zhou Long (Fellow in Music Composition ’00).
Tickets for the benefit are still available to join us on the night, meet our honorees and celebrate their remarkable contributions to the art world through their work and projects. Buy your ticket here.
