Program Manager Iyabo Boyd talks about film grants at Chicken & Egg Pictures on Thursday, June 11
Chicken & Egg Pictures supports women non-fiction filmmakers whose artful and innovative storytelling catalyzes social change. Since 2005, Chicken & Egg Pictures has awarded $3.75 million in grants and 5,220 hours of mentorship to over 180 films. Program Manager Iyabo Boyd will discuss the Chicken & Egg Pictures grants and mentorship program, walk us through their application process, and talk about the elements of effective grant applications.

About Iyabo Boyd
Iyabo is Program Manager at Chicken & Egg Pictures, a grantmaker to women documentary filmmakers. She is an independent film producer, has previously held positions at the Sundance Film Festival, Independent Feature Project, and Tribeca Film Institute. She’s screened for the Hamptons, Sarasota, and Nantucket Film Festivals, and served on juries for the Cinema Eye Honors, SXSW’s Women Director Award, and Brooklyn Film Festival’s Pitching Exchange. She produced Evan Buxbaum’s feature film Sun Belt Express, which premiered at the Champs-Elysée Film Festival in 2014, and she recently completed a short film based on the work of poet Ronaldo V.
