The seminars will provide information about opportunities for funding to individual artists from NYSCA, focusing upon support for Composer Commissions, Dance Commissions; Film, Media and New Technology Production and Theatre Artist Commissions through the Individual Artists Program. It will describe application procedures for individual artist applications through fiscal sponsors as well as general information about applying to NYSCA of interest to all applicants for funding.
NYFA will also be represented at the Buffalo and Rochester seminars by Joseph Gough, Program Associate for NYFA’s Fellowships and Curatorial Programs. Joseph will give an overview of services NYFA provides for individual artists, as well as a discussion on the Artists’ Fellowship Award and application.
We encourage individual artists from this broad spectrum of arts disciplines to attend the meetings, which will describe how individual artists apply through fiscal sponsors to NYSCA and directly to NYFA. The overview of NYSCA application procedures will deal with eligibility requirements for individual artist applications as well as all NYSCA applicants, new sponsored request forms for individual artists and fiscal sponsors, procedures for registering your application on the NYSCA web site and application procedures through Grants Gateway. We will also answer general application questions. The information we provide will be of particular interest to applicants making a complete (new for FY16) application, including first-time applicants as well as those returning after completion of a multi-year grant.
