Face to Place
Featuring selected works from IAP Mentees from 2007 – 2014
Face to Place is an exhibition of selected works from participants of the Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program from 2007 – 2014. The exhibition highlights works that draw attention to the acute artistic observations that are often manifested through the immigrant artist experience and the unique perspectives cultivated through transitioning to, living, and creating in another country. Face to Place is a theme broadly interpreted in the scope of portraiture and sense of place – whether urban or nature, with observations on society, culture and humanity. The exhibition opens on February 20, 2015 from 6-8 PM and will include performances and readings.
Dates: February 20, 2015 – May 8, 2015
Location: NYFA, 20 Jay Street, Suite 740, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Opening Reception: Friday, February 20, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
