A NEW INITIATIVE #ARTISTHOTLINE: KICK-OFF JULY 15TH
We want artists, writers, and performers in all disciplines, cultural nonprofits, and arts-related businesses nationwide to join the conversation
NYFA invites all artists and cultural institutions to join #ArtistHotline, an Artist Professional Development Day on Twitter, every third Wednesday of the month starting July 15.
Inspired by the NYFA Source Hotline, #ArtistHotline is a new initiative dedicated to creating an ongoing online conversation around the professional side of artistic practice. Together we’ll call on artists to ask compelling questions, exchange useful resources, and establish a new exciting digital network.
Questions may include:
So, how do you apply for a fellowship? What is the secret to getting published? What are the important components of grantwriting? What entrepreneurial elements are needed to develop and ultimately, sustain yourself as a working artist?
By connecting on social media, we’ll encourage integrative thinking to day-to-day career challenges, build collective knowledge, and re-define what collaboration can look like within the arts. The initiative aims to draw attention to the ways in which artists and cultural institutions define professional success and how mutual support, whether online or off, always enriches the ever-changing creative process.
Artists: Save the date and join us on Twitter on July 15!
