How Does NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship Work?
More funding options: NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship allows artists and organizations to utilize our 501©(3) tax-exempt status to apply for grants that are usually restricted to nonprofit organizations. Fiscal Sponsorship also allows individual donors to receive the incentive of a tax-deduction. In the last fiscal year,* NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship earned $4,485,783 for artist projects and organizations. With diverse access to various funders, government entities such as New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) contributed over $500,000 to our sponsored projects/organizations. Private and public foundations such as the Aaron Copland Fund, The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation, The Ford Foundation, City Parks Foundation, and the The New York Community Trust also contributed over $2,000,000 to support our fiscally sponsored projects/organizations. That’s a lot of funding!
