This June, CaribBEING (Sponsored Project) is bringing CaribBEING House to Brooklyn! CaribBEING House is a mobile multipurpose art and cultural space located in Flatbush, Brooklyn, aka “Little Caribbean.” The house is decked out from head to toe in designs that reflect the culture and heritage of the neighborhood, and can visit art fairs, community gatherings, and block parties. Head down to CaribBEING House (794 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226) from June 15 – 29, 2018!
The Luminal Theater (Sponsored Project) and Caribbean Film Academy (Sponsored Project) are partnering with Haiti Cultural Exchange (HCX) and Hudson Guild to host Selebrasyon!, one of several events taking place at the 2018 HCX Festival. The screenings will feature films that showcase narratives and cinematic perspectives from Haiti, the Haitian diaspora, and other Caribbean nations. Selebrasyon! will take place at the Hudson Guild Theater (441 W. 26th St, New York, NY 10001) on June 12 at 7:30 PM, June 13 at 2:00 PM, June 19 at 7:30 PM, June 20 at 2:00 PM, and June 23 at 2:00 PM.
