Artists at The Crossroads
Presentation and conversation between the first two Times Square Arts’ Residency At The Crossroads artists
On February 1, NYFA Fellow Okwui Okpokwasili (Choreography ‘13) and artist R. Luke DuBois discussed their Times Square Arts’ residencies in the fall of 2015. From their vastly different practices, each explore how the unique, iconic environment and culturally diverse audience intersects with the business improvement district infrastructure. Kate Crawford, professor, author, and founding member of Deep Lab, served as the moderator.
“I believe in the resonance of proximity, when we put our bodies together within a space” – Okwui Okpokwasili
