Bulletin: Eight NYFA Fellows Receive Prestigious Grants
FCA and Art Matters award past Winners of NYFA Artists’ Fellowships
Three NYFA artists were named recipients of unrestricted $30,000 grants from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts earlier this month. We congratulate:
- Eileen Myles(Fellowship, Poetry, 1999
- Okwui Okpokwasili (Fellowship, Choreography, 2013)
- Annie-B Parson (Fellowship, Choreography, 2013)
In addition, five NYFA artists received 2013 grants from Art Matters. These awards, established in 1985 by philanthropist Laura Donnelly, are given to artists working on socially-engaged projects. We congratulate:
- Nina Katchadourian (Fellowship, Film, 2004)
- Miguel Luciano (Fellowship, Painting, 2004)
- Carolee Schneemann (Fellowship, Performance Art/Multidisciplinary Work, 1987)
- Dread Scott (Fellowship, Sculpture, 2001; Fellowship, Performance Art/Multidisciplinary Work, 2005; Fellowship, Interdisciplinary Work, 2012)
