Martita Abril is a performing artist, curator, organizer, and teaching artist. She brings 10 years of experience working at NYC-based nonprofit arts organizations as a Programs and Events Manager.

Martita Abril, is from the border city of Tijuana, México. She’s benefitted from both sides of the NYFA Immigrant Artist Mentorship Program and teaches workshops for Spanish speaking families for the iLAND (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Art Nature and Dance) in Bushwick gardens. She is a co-curator for In/Between, an annual immigrant artist group exhibition developed in partnership with New York Live Arts and NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program. Martita is currently the Coordinator of the “Movement Research at the Judson Memorial Church” series and an artist in residence at The Kitchen in the Dance and Process Program. Martita resides at the border of Bushwick/Greenpoint with her partner and 31 plants, most of which are alive.

When you book, you’ll have the opportunity to provide this context and/or share any relevant materials you'd like your coach to look over. They will then review these in advance, and provide feedback during your conversation. Your session will take place virtually over zoom in Eastern Time (ET). Once you book, you will receive a confirmation email with the zoom link.
