Event: Build and Create Your Fundraising Landscape
May 10 workshop will help dancers and choreographers understand the fundraising landscape.
The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) will present a workshop offering an overview of the fundraising landscape for dancers and choreographers in the NYC metropolitan area. The workshop will include the introduction of SWOT analysis in relationship to creating participants’ own fundraising strategy to support a sustainable practice in the performing arts.
SWOT analysis is an auditing tool that examines internal strengths and weaknesses and potential external opportunities and threats. Understanding these factors helps to structure strategic planning and growth and lead to more informed career decisions. Artists will be offered the opportunity to work through the exercise with fellow participants.
