The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.

Only generative artists are eligible: meaning artists who are creating their own, independent work, with recent and ongoing opportunities for the public to experience that work.

Please note: Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants are not for lost wages, living expenses, or medical care for individuals other than the artist.

**The deadline of 5:00 PM ET October 1 was extended through 5:00 PM ET October 25 due to the extraordinary destruction and devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Eligible applicants may apply for funds for emergency mental health, medical or dental treatment, whether related to the impacts of Hurricanes Helene or Milton or not.**
