Join NYFA for “Writers on Publishing: A Virtual Panel Discussion,” an event designed by writers for writers in order to share insights on the publishing process. The panel will feature writers Ricardo Maldonado (NYFA Board) and Alexandra Chasin⁠ (NYFA Board) and poet Omotara James (Fellow in Poetry ’20) and will be moderated by Brett Fletcher Lauer (NYFA Coach), Deputy Director of the Poetry Society of America and Poetry Editor of A Public Space. All four are authors who have navigated the many steps that come with publishing one’s work.

This program is targeted toward literary artists across genres. By the end of the session, you will more deeply understand the path of a professional writer and how to navigate processes that lead to individual publications and, eventually, the creation of a larger work of literature.
