Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants
Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants provide one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need who are in dire financial emergency.
About the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation
The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation (RRF) partnered with New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) to launch the Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants program in 2021. Robert Rauschenberg was committed to assisting fellow artists in need of emergency aid, ultimately establishing the nonprofit foundation Change, Inc. in 1970. In the spirit of Change, Inc., and recognizing the extreme impact the pandemic and its ongoing effect on dancers, the Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants were created. These grants respond to the particularly harsh affects of the pandemic on dance performing, teaching, and touring and the resulting risk to food and housing insecurity for dancers.
