Here are the highlights for this month’s issue:
- An interview conducted by NYFA IAP Intern Allison Ganes with a few of the panelists of Mapping Resources for Immigrant Artists, hosted by the Museum of Chinese in America and organized by the Asian American Arts Alliance.
- Professional development resources such as the LinkedIn Advanced Seminar hosted by The Actors Fund, whose goal is to take LinkedIn power users to the next level, and an Ask #ArtistHotline blog post explaining the distinction between an “emerging” and a “mid-career” artist.
- 9 opportunities and deadlines including the Griffin Trust for Excellence in Poetry, offering two prizes of $65,000 CAD (approximately $46,800) each; the Queens Museum Open Call, in which artists can apply for a subsidized studio at the museum; and the Richard J. Margolis Award, a prize of $5,000 and a month-long residency at the Blue Mountain Center.
- 6 featured events including Pavel Kraus’ (IAP ‘16) show Candies, and NYFA fiscally sponsored project, Paradise Interrupted, directed by Jennifer Wen Ma (Fellow ’03).
