Roundabout provides hands-on learning opportunities for aspiring arts professionals from New York City who are interested in theatre administration careers.
We are now hiring for the second cohort of the Administrative Fellowship program as an expansion of TWDP (Theatrical Workforce Development Program), which aims to break down the barriers that prevent New Yorkers from joining the arts and culture industry and empower a diverse new generation of theatre professionals.
TWDP Admin is a year-long, full-time Fellowship opportunity. Participants are not required to have a background in the theatre arts. Additional details for overall program and each department: https://www.roundabouttheatre.org/education/career-training/administrative-fellowships
Applicants must be current NYC residents. TWDP Admin is not intended to advance skills for performers, designers, or directors.
Fellowships at a Glance
• Fellowships will run from September to the end of August
• Fellows receive an hourly rate $16.50
• Fellows receive monthly MTA cards and a housing stipend ($300 per month)
• Fellowships are available in the following administrative departments: Artistic, Development, Education, Marketing, Finance, and Management.
Fellows will participate in and contribute to an entire artistic season while sharing in the daily organizational operations. Fellows will engage in long-term projects with increasing responsibility and attend regular workshops and weekly seminars with senior staff, as well as receive on-the-job mentorship and training from their host department.
Additional opportunities for Fellows include weekly career-building seminars, participation in the interdepartmental mentorship program, networking opportunities across the arts administration industry, and an invitation to participate in Roundabout identity-based affinity groups, volunteer opportunities and events.

Attending an information session is a mandatory part of the application process for each cohort, and for both the TWDP Admin and TWDP Tech program.
Information Session Dates:
Wednesday, April 16, 3:30 - 5pm
Thursday, April 17, 6 - 7:30pm
Thursday, May 1, 6 - 7:30pm
Applicants should be current NYC residents, with a high school diploma or equivalent, eager to gain a knowledge in theatre administration. People of color, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals are strongly encouraged to apply. At the information session, you will get more details about the program and have an opportunity to meet with current Fellows. Please note that attending an information session is a required first step in the application process. Our next group of participants, Cohort 2, start in September 2025.
