Description:
An in-house position is available as Design & Photography Assistant in a prestigious carpet gallery in NYC.
Full-time
Tasks:
-Rendering carpet designs to fit customer needs.
-Designing/developing our custom collection.
-Taking and editing photographs of our products.
-Publishing and editing content and products for our website.
-Making and maintaining marketing materials.
-Maintaining communication with weavers and customers during the process of making a custom order to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Qualifications:
-A design background and experience in textile/carpet industry is a plus.
-Excellent photography and photo editing skills and a strong eye for photography and color correction.
-Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
-Experience with updating the website and MailChimp.
-Sharp attention to detail.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
-Punctual and organized.
- Ability to speak Chinese or Italian is a plus.
-WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE PERMANENT RESIDENTS OF THE US AND ARE LOOKING FOR A LONG-TERM POSITION WORKING AT OUR GALLERY. NO REMOTE WORK.
Required education: Bachelor's Degree
Required experience: design-related: 3-5 years
Gallery Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:30-6:00 and Friday 9:30-3:30
