Assistant for Studio

A Brooklyn-based artist seeks an assistant for a part-time postion in metal work, griniding and polishing Aluminum. The Studio assistant is a dependable, solution-oriented, resourceful, and practical self-starter who can be trusted to work independently or with other assistants.

Duties include:

Polishing aluminium shapes.

Grinding.

Working with power tools.

Able to work with a team.

Cleaning and tidying from time to time.

Requirements: 

• Essential Metalwork skills: TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium, MIG welding of aluminium
• Comfortable working with power tools with great attention to detail.
• Should have an excellent understanding of sculptural techniques and fabrication solutions. 
• Patient, confident, solution-oriented, with a peaceful energy.
