Reminder: #ArtistHotline Returns April 20
This Wednesday, we’ll answer all your professional development questions.
Join NYFA staff on Wednesday, April 20, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM, for our monthly Artist Professional Development Day on Twitter.
April is a great time to celebrate sustainability, whether you’re creating recycled art or taking part in our #ArtistHotline tweet chat, where we share tips and resources for building sustainable careers in the arts.
To participate, sign up for a free Twitter account if you don’t already have one. Then, on Wednesday, be sure to send us your questions and any advice or feedback you have for fellow artists, using the hashtag #ArtistHotline. Not sure what to say? Here are some tips for participating to get you started.
Each Twitter chat explores a new set of topics. Last month we discussed strategies for finding travel grants, maintaining artist websites, and applying for residences. Find the full conversation in our Storify recap here.
Inspired by the NYFA Source Hotline, #ArtistHotline is a new initiative dedicated to creating an ongoing online conversation around the professional side of artistic practice. #ArtistHotline occurs on the third Wednesday of each month on Twitter. Our goal is to help artists discover the resources needed, online and off, to develop sustainable careers.
This initiative is supported by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
